At Ipê Dojo, we offer martial arts programming for children ages 2.5 to 14, with classes thoughtfully designed around age and developmental stages.
Preschool Judo (Ages 2.5–5) – Held on Saturdays, this fun and engaging class introduces young children to the basics of judo through movement, play, and skill-building activities. A great first step into martial arts!
Kids & Youth Programs (Ages 6–14) – Students are grouped by age and experience level to ensure a supportive learning environment. Children can enroll in our Judo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, or combined programs, based on their interests and goals.
Our approach focuses on building a strong technical foundation, so every child is well-prepared to transition into adult classes when the time comes. Just as importantly, we emphasize the values that martial arts instill – humility, kindness, responsibility, and respect – both on and off the mats.
We offer a 7 day free trial period to anyone interested in joining. During this period, adults can try any of our adult classes in BJJ or Judo. Kids can try classes in the BJJ or Judo program corresponding with their specific age.
At the end of the trial period, you may choose to join as a member but are under no obligation to. Anyone participating in the free trial will be given a training uniform (gi). Should you decide to become a full member, the gi will be yours to keep.
